Outcomes: streamlined organisation structure and governance committees framework

  • current state organisational structures were examined to assess spans of control and layers of management from top to bottom
  • this was then overlaid with current state operating models, particularly examining junior/senior staffing ratios (pyramids) as well as operational tensions between functional and geographic ways of working
  • also explored were opportunities for teams performing similar tasks and teams requiring professionals with similar skills
  • this analysis served as input to formulating options for the future state, which were then agreed and implemented
  • alongside this was a review of governance, particularly ensuring appropriate and complete escalation, cascade, and decision rights in company with the revised structures and operations
